    i really liked doing this.. can we do more assignments like this in the near future??

      I hope we can do more hands-on activities like this in the next unit. We will be working on finding area for lots of different shapes, so we will be cutting them out on grid paper and turning them into rectangles. Maybe we could take the best examples of each shape and post them to the blog — thanks for the idea!
